Jenny Adair is a local artist in Baton Rouge, LA who reached out to me to design her logo for her new Etsy shop, Adair Arts & Gifts. Her current body of work includes a variety of different art styles, subjects, and mediums. From impressive ink illustrations and citrus paintings to knitted frogs and crocheted temperature blankets, Jenny carries her projects with a universal precision and grace, no matter how different the mediums may be. Jenny’s love of botanical ink illustrations inspired the concept for her logo, which features a moth positioned on a white canvas, representing the call that artists have to create. The canvas attracts us like a moth to a light, calling us to capture the light (or absence of light) inside of us into a tangible sensation that people can enjoy and connect with.
